Updating your profile

How to update your name, email, and profile photo.

Your boveDAM profile controls how you appear across the dashboard, in portal member lists, and in system emails. You can update your display name, email address, and profile photo at any time from Account settings.

Updating your name and profile photo

To update your display name or photo:

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
  2. Select Account settings.
  3. Open the Profile tab.
  4. Edit your Display name field — this is the name shown in portal member lists and activity logs.
  5. To update your photo, click the current avatar image and upload a new file. Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG, and WebP. The image is cropped to a square and displayed at up to 96×96 px.
  6. Click Save changes.

Your new name and photo take effect immediately across all portals and workspaces. If you use boveDAM through a browser that has cached your old photo, a hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R on macOS, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows) will update it.

Your profile photo also appears in invitation emails and notification emails that are sent on your behalf, helping recipients recognize who the message is from.

Changing your email address

Your email address is your login credential and the address where boveDAM sends account notifications. Because of this, changing it requires re-verification:

  1. Go to Account settings → Profile.
  2. Click Edit next to your current email address.
  3. Enter the new email address.
  4. Click Send confirmation.

A confirmation link is sent to the new email address. You must click that link within 24 hours to complete the change. Until you confirm:

  • Your current email address remains active and you can still log in with it.
  • Any account notifications continue going to your old address.
  • The new address shows a "Pending verification" badge in Account settings.

If you do not receive the confirmation email, check the spam folder of the new address. You can also click Resend confirmation from Account settings. If the 24-hour window passes without confirmation, the pending change is discarded and you will need to start the process again.

After confirmation, your new email address becomes your login and all future notifications go there.

Updating your workspace name

Your workspace name appears in the dashboard header and in portal URLs that use the workspace slug. To update it:

  1. Go to Account settings → Workspace.
  2. Edit the Workspace name field.
  3. Click Save.

Changing the workspace name does not change your portal URLs or affect any member access. If your workspace has a custom subdomain, contact support@bovedam.com to request a slug change.
