File size and quota

Per-plan file size limits and storage quota explained.

Per-file size limits by plan

Every plan has a maximum file size that applies to each individual upload. A file larger than your plan's limit cannot be uploaded.

PlanMax file size per file
Free50 MB
Studio200 MB
Agency500 MB

These limits are per file, not per session. Uploading a batch of files that are each under the limit will succeed even if the total batch size exceeds it. Only files that individually surpass the limit will fail.

Common situations where limits matter: uploading a high-resolution TIFF master file, a large PPTX brand presentation with embedded media, or an original MOV video from a shoot. If you need to work with files above your plan's limit, upgrading to the next plan unlocks a higher cap immediately.

Workspace storage quota

Separate from the per-file limit, each workspace has a total storage quota — the combined size of all files currently stored in your portals.

For a full breakdown of storage quotas per plan, see Storage and limits.

When your workspace reaches its quota, new uploads are blocked. Existing assets are not affected — nothing is deleted automatically, and clients can still access and download files already in your portals. Only the ability to add new files is suspended until storage is freed.

How to free storage

There are two ways to reduce your workspace storage usage.

Delete assets you no longer need. Deleted files move to the trash. Trashed assets still count toward your quota until they are permanently deleted — either manually or after the 30-day retention window expires. See Deleting and restoring for details.

Empty the trash. Permanently deleting trashed assets removes them from your quota immediately. This is the fastest way to recover large amounts of storage.

If you need more storage without deleting files, upgrading your plan is the other path. You will not lose access to any existing files when upgrading, and the new quota takes effect immediately.
